I had the opportunity to shoot wingman at Kristan and Brian’s wedding last weekend (8/1) for Kip. It’s my first wedding and the first time really getting to hang out with Kip. I quickly learned he’s quite the jockster. I was driving to the groom’s (Brian) place to photograph him getting ready for the wedding when I received a text message from Kip. It read.. “Can you cover this? It’s kinda awkward, but I’m feeling sick.”
I had a mild panic attack, but responded with, “Let me know what I needed to do.” Only to have him reply he really had a tee time at 4:55pm. Then I knew he got one on me. But it made me laugh and took off the edge.
I met Brian and he’s a real laid back cat. But I quickly learned, he’s attached to his Blackberry as I am with my iPhone (I have photo proof of this below). I didn’t meet Kristan until the first look, but she’s a ball of emotion and expresses it all. Their ceremony was held at the butterfly house at Pacific Science Center (Seattle) and the reception followed in the adjoining room.
I learned a lot from working under Kip and he’s a great guy. Very candid and a great teacher.
The wedding day was beautiful and I wish Kristan and Brian the best because they are both absolutely awesome! More photos can be viewed in the gallery.

Tai: It was great to have you on board and you did a great job. Can’t wait to shoot another one with you and see what you do next.
